I want to clarify: I am not sponsored; I buy all my gear myself.
I'm just sharing this review of my latest toy for those who want to know more!

After using the DW 1370 and then the DW 980 with an 80 cm mast, I decided to go for a completely new setup:

- Hawk V3 mast: 95 cm HM (High Modulus)
- Stabilizer: HA 165
- Wing: RSX 860 AR 13

**My impressions:**
Honestly, we are on a whole different level! With this new setup, I literally feel like I've released the handbrake (or removed a big bag of seaweed stuck to the wing). The glide is simply incredible, and it has nothing to do with what I had before.

**In practice:**
It took me a little time to adapt to how to let the wing glide. But once the feeling is there, it’s pure joy: jibes, tacks, 360s… everything happens with astonishing ease. You can maintain the glide for a long time even with the wing in flag position, without needing to pump!

On paper, the wingspan of the wing might seem to limit the turn, but in reality, I find that I turn even faster than with the DW 980. Plus, I get going earlier in light winds, while reaching speeds I had never achieved in winging. I managed to reach up to 24.7 knots with 15 knots of wind (gusts up to 22 knots)! Let’s just say it’s impressive, even if pure speed isn’t my priority.

For me, the RSX 860 is clearly the wing to choose for a versatile wing that can do it all and remains very playful on the water.
As for the 95 cm mast, coming from the kitefoil world, I find it to be a real asset: it allows for better upwind performance and sharper angles, which further enhances overall performance.

I can’t wait to test all this in the waves because the first two sessions were on a lake!
